19, 1968: born in Mönchengladbach;
1984: attended the College of Social Education;
1987: began apprenticeship in cabinet-making;
1990: passed Cabinetmakers Examination with distinction and
began apprenticeship in harpsichord building;
1993: passed examination in harpsichord building;
Undertook community service in a school for the handicapped in lieu
of military service;
Further training in guitar construction until 2002; |
Autumn 2002: passed Master Craftsman/luthier Examination in Plucked
Instrument Construction. Awarded State Prize as the years best
graduate and presented with a certificate and gold medal for outstanding
achievement in the Masters Examination.
Since December 2003, we, that is, my wife and our nine children, have
stood on our own 22 feet. We have renovated a house (built in 1688)
to our own specifications and live happily from day to day in a little
Bavarian village. |
